Softpay app includes an authentication method which allows you to verify that the Softpay app is authentic.
When pressing Authenticity code, found in Settings menu, a popup will show a unique code and at the same time an email is sent to the registered contact email of the merchant that is logged in to Softpay.
By comparing the two codes you can validate the authenticity of the installed app.
If you've recieved an email with a Softpay verification code but did not press the button yourself, then it is because someone with access to an app logged in to a merchant registered with the recipient email address has pushed the button "Authenticity code".
