Transaction limits in Softpay are fully managed by your acquirer or processor.
Softpay fully relies on the acquirer for these settings and decisions. We do not impose any additional monetary transaction limits beyond those enforced by the acquirer.

Limits Controlled by the Acquirer

Your acquirer determines:

  • Floor limit – maximum amount that can be processed without requiring online authorization from the card issuer.

  • CVM limit (Cardholder Verification Method) - defines the maximum amount at which a cardholder can make a contactless payment without additional verification (PIN or biometrics).

  • Contactless limit – Maximum allowed for contactless transactions

  • Minimum and maximum for transactions in general

Example Country CVM limits:

  • Denmark 350 DKK

  • Sweden 400 SEK

  • Norway 500 NOK

  • United Kingdom 100 £
