What is Authenticity Code?

What the Authenticity Code is, why it appears, and how to use it to verify that your Softpay app is genuine and has not been tampered with — an MPoC compliance requirement.

The Authenticity code is part of a required security feature (MPoC compliance) that allows you to verify that the payment application you are using is genuine and has not been tampered with or spoofed.

The authenticity code was generated because you (or someone at your location) pressed the “Verify App Authenticity” button in the app. The system then automatically sent the verification code to the email address registered during onboarding– the same email that received your login credentials.

This is a normal and expected security step to confirm that the app is authentic and safe to use.
No further action is required from your side.
